Treatment Services:
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy applied by a skilled practitioner who is not rushed or in a hurry is, many times, second to none. This is what you will get here at SmashFactor. Joint mobilization applied correctly and appropriately, neural-tissue mobilization, hand-on soft tissue treatment, and high-velocity low-amplitude thrust mobilizations are used regularly by me. This is all tailored to you based on your condition and communication with me.
Cupping
This technique involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, promoting blood flow to specific areas. For golfers, cupping can aid in relieving muscle tension, enhancing flexibility, and facilitating quicker recovery from strains or injuries. It may also help improve range of motion, allowing golfers to achieve a more fluid and unrestricted swing.
Dry Needling
By targeting trigger points within muscles, dry needling can release knots and tightness, reducing pain and improving muscle function. For golfers, this technique can alleviate muscle imbalances, address chronic pain, and enhance overall muscle performance. It often leads to improved flexibility and better control over movements critical to a consistent and effective golf swing.
Both cupping and dry needling, when incorporated into a golfer's wellness regimen, can contribute to increased mobility, reduced discomfort, and improved muscular function, thereby supporting a golfer's performance and overall game.
IASTM
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a manual therapy technique that involves the use of specially designed tools to diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal conditions. The tools typically have a smooth, beveled edge and come in various shapes and sizes.
